Ghent University as a university collaborates with VITO, University of Antwerp and VUB in the Capture platform to bundle expertise on resource recovery. More specifically, the problems related to the themes plastics and CO2 are being investigated
UGent’s expertise can be found in various research groups and covers a wide range of expertise: from chemical design of new materials, product design, pre-treatment of waste, mechanical and chemical recycling, LCA analyzes, food packaging….
Within the Capture platform, there is collaboration with the University of Antwerp, Vito and VUB to stimulate collaborations between expertises, so that an even wider range of knowledge is available.
